What We Do
The Men’s Shed is busy.
There are always guys making, refurbishing or repairing things.
There are always guys learning new things - art classes, Tai Chi, model making, gardening, making soup, playing guitar.
There are always guys willing to help and teach other men new skills.
There are always guys willing to listen to and help other men.
The Shed is a community that is strong, smart and welcoming.

Within the Men’s Shed Govan Premises
Refurbished a derelict ex-nursery to create our premises.
Stalled Spaces Project – Created a lovely Garden space
Created Woodwork room included making our own workbenches
New kitchen put in place
Ladies Toilet refurbishment (for guests)
Gents toilet refurbishment
Created a Computer Room/Office
Made our own Fence and gate
Moved a mound of earth to make a composting area
Took over an allotment at South West Allotments Association and created an extra growing area.

Growing lots of fresh vegetables and Apples for South West Food Bank
Made a Wishing well, Windmill sales and Fairy swings for Pollok Park.
Helping Ronald McDonald House with maintaining their garden. Building shelves and signs for them
Helping Johnstone Family Centre building a Pergola, raised beds and various play structures.
Helping “Urban Roots” Food projects by supplying home grown produce.
Building raised beds for St Constantine’s primary School and repairing the ones for Pirie Park.
Helping “Horatio’s Garden” a charity attached to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital rehabilitation unit with odd jobs and maintenance.
